Hello all Senior Blades
Proposed September Trip – Bury Market
Our Excursions organiser, Sue Foster, has been exploring the possibility of organising a trip to the famous Bury Market. The date she is thinking of is Wednesday 13th September, which is a full market day. Sue has booked a coach and the cost would be £20 per person, and it would leave Cherry Street at 8.00am and return from Bury at 4.00pm.
If enough interest is shown, there is also the opportunity for an optional train journey on the East Lancs Railway in the afternoon. The train leaves Bury station at 1.15pm to Rawtenstall arriving around 2.00pm and departs at 2.20pm arriving back in Bury at 3.12pm The cost of this journey is an additional £12 (group discount rate) and would require us to have a minimum number of 20 persons travelling on the train to qualify.
Any further information then you can ring Sue on 0754 1194154 or send an email to email@example.com
Lunch Cancellation Charge
Lunches must be booked in advance via firstname.lastname@example.org or by contacting Stephen Gibbons on 01538 424190 or 07505 559678. The deadline for booking is 8 pm on the Tuesday prior to the lunch date. This is also the deadline for cancelling a lunch booking.
From September failure to cancel in time will result in the full charge for the meal having to be paid, as the catering company requires us to pay when the numbers are submitted. (Until September the charge is £10)
Future entertainment/speakers at our lunches
At our 11th July lunch, we look forward to hearing from John Wilson on the History of Football in Sheffield and other sporting greats from our city.
On 8th August we are happy to welcome back Lauren Faye Moss, a talented vocalist with West End experience. Lauren had to cancel earlier this year due to illness, so we look forward to seeing her this time.
