At our lunch earlier this month we were lucky to have two excellent speakers. First up was Joe Scarborough, the renowned Sheffield artist who gave us a brief history of how life’s path led him to become the artist we know and love today. Next, for his second visit as speaker, we had former Blades player and now match day host, Kevin Gage. Kevin had a somewhat different route to life as a professional footballer and it was very interesting to hear how fate propelled him down this road. After the speakers had finished, we asked Kevin if he would draw the winning tickets for our extra raffle, the first prize being our sponsored player, Dean Henderson’s 2018/2019 kit. The draw was made and Kevin pulled out the ticket belonging to another former Sheffield United legend and Commercial Manager, Andy Daykin!! Some, jokingly shouted fix, but it was all good humoured. The proceeds from the raffle are being donated to the Paces Cerebral Palsy Charity. A good day was enjoyed by all.
