The making of a Blade

When young Leo Johnson was born five years ago, his Grandad, Malcolm Price, couldn’t wait for him to grow up so he could take him to watch his beloved Blades.  He quickly enrolled Leo as a Junior Blade as he didn’t want other family influences to take him away from the red and white half of the city.  The big day finally arrived and Leo made his Bramall Lane debut on 6 October and as you can see from the photo, he was thrilled when David McGoldrick scored from the penalty spot to give the Blades victory over Hull City.

On a Remembrance note, at the October lunch our Poppy Appeal raised £160. Thanks to Malcolm Ellis and Derek Parkin.

Senior Blade, Roy Ashton was part of the veteran guard of honour at the Remembrance Ceremony held at Bramall Lane before the kick off of the Sheffield Derby match.
