At our April lunch last week, Senior Blades were delighted to welcome Sheffield United’s Club Chaplain, Delroy ‘Revs’ Hall. He outlined his role within Sheffield United but was puzzled how it all happened. He arrived at the club in 2017, after being invited ‘for a look around’ by the previous chaplain and it all escalated from there. Even today, he doesn’t recall actually saying he would have the job, but he loves every minute of it. His parents arrived in Britain from Jamaica and were part of the Windrush generation. Delroy was born in Nottingham, lived in Newark and arrived in Yorkshire in 1996, so he has been told he now qualifies as a Yorkshireman!
Seen her with Senior Blades Chairman, Brian Walton, we look forward to Delroy joining us again for another enjoyable lunch date.
