It is with great sadness that Senior Blades announce the news that their former Chairman, Brian Walton, passed away peacefully this morning, Wednesday 25th June.
Brian joined Senior Blades in February 2007, he became Deputy to Frank Yates and when Frank retired, Brian became Chairman in June 2012. He worked tirelessly for Senior Blades during his time in office, he was a very forthright character who liked to get things done straight away. He resigned from the post in January 2022, for health reasons and the last 18 months have been difficult for him.
