At this time of the year, dark cold nights, our Excursions Officer, Sue, gets out her maps and brochures and looks for nice destinations for our first trip next year.
At the moment, it’s looking like North Yorkshire is the destination and probably our final choice could be Skipton or thereabouts. Must agree, it does look a lovely little spot with a 12th century castle, the Leeds and Liverpool canal, a traditional market on four days a week and even a statue of Freddie Trueman, who graced our ground on many occasions in his playing days with Yorkshire County Cricket Club. Think we have to give Sue a hint this would be a great place to visit.
