Senior Blades were very sad to learn of the passing of Beryl Whitney on Wednesday 19th August.
Beryl joined Senior Blades in 1998 and within a short time, was appointed to the Senior Blades Committee, where she served for 20 years. During her time on the Committee she held several different roles which she carried out with her usual efficiency. She retired from the Committee when husband Peter became unwell and needed care. As well as Senior Blades, Beryl and Peter were stalwarts for the Supporters Club, where they served for 25 years. A lifelong Blade, she will be sadly missed by everyone at Senior Blades and also the many people at Sheffield United who knew Beryl for many years.
