Two weeks ago, Sheffield United fans, including all Senior Blades, were stunned and saddened by the tragic news that our former player, George Baldock, had tragically passed away.
George was a very popular player with all fans, nicknamed ‘Starman’ he fitted the name perfectly and we all belted out the song every time he went flying down the wing. Since his passing, supporters have been coming forward with stories of his kindnesses to fans, which, at his request at the time, be kept private, and how he always had time for supporters, young and old before and after games.
He will be sorely missed by everyone, especially his fiancee, baby boy, his family, close friends and the supporters. Everyone feels they have lost a very close friend and he will never be forgotten and will become a Blades legend.
