Our speaker for January will be former Derby County Centre Forward and now Club Ambassador, Roger Davies. Roger had played his seventh game for Worcester City when the Derby management duo of Brian Clough and Peter Taylor signed him for £12,000, which will surely feature in Roger’s talk.
After five years at Derby, Roger moved to Club Bruges in Belgium, then onto Leicester City and in 1979 he went to Tulsa Roughnecks in the USA where he joined our own Alan Woodward. Whilst in the United States he also played for Seattle Sounders and Fort Lauderdale Strikers. We look forward to a very interesting and entertaining afternoon.
