On Tuesday 12 October, Senior Blades finally had the opportunity to celebrate their 40th Anniversary. This should have been held in August but due to the pandemic and associated restrictions this was the earliest we could hold it.
It was a low key party but our 157 guests enjoyed a lovely meal and our entertainer, singer and musician, Joseph O’Brien was superb. Many of our guests took to the floor to have a dance and enjoy the occasion.
The Charity raffle was drawn and we will be announcing how much was raised and will be donated to The Bears of Sheffield Campaign in aid of the Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
Finally, our Senior Blades Ambassador, Tony Currie presented a silver salver to our Chairman, Brian Walton on behalf of Sheffield United Football Club in recognition of our 40th birthday.
