At our 9th November lunch meeting, we were delighted to welcome Lucy Cain from the Sheffield Children’s Hospital Fund Raising Team. Lucy was presented with a cheque for £500 which was raised through our annual charity raffle. Two Senior Blades Committee members, Sheila Herring and Joan Turner presented the cheque on our behalf and we understand this will go towards the new Cancer and Leukaemia Ward at the hospital. Did you know that Sheffield Children’s is one of only three specialist standalone children’s hospitals? Children and young people travel from all over the country and worldwide to Sheffield for ground-breaking medical treatment and we at Senior Blades are proud to support their tremendous work.
