Senior Blades Membership Renewals
As our members will know, we usually start with membership renewals in January and a good number of these are paid at our monthly lunches. As everyone is aware, we have not had a lunch since March and at this moment in time we have no idea when we may be back. A couple of weeks ago, we heard the news that a vaccine could be available soon, so perhaps we may be able to resume earlier rather than later, but for the forseeable future we won’t be collecting memberships.
We will of course, keep members updated and as soon as we are informed that we can start again, we will let members know,
During the week of the Remembrance commemorations, one of our ‘Elder Statesman’ members Roy Ashton aged 97, was featured in an article on the SUFC website and also in the Sheffield Star Newspaper. Roy is a World War 2 veteran and has featured in the Remembrance Day commemorations at Bramall Lane on several occasions. He is also a season ticket holder and attends every lunch meeting at Senior Blades along with his wife of 73 years, Trudie. Well done Roy, you did yourself proud with a great article.
